Our Fears are Valid
Our world has drastically changed. How we interact with our families, friends, and coworkers has changed from enjoying their company in the physical world to now the digital world. There is one constant throughout all of this uncertainty; fear. We are all in fear of what is to come tomorrow, Fear of unable to pay for the bills or provide for their families. Fear of this pandemic and normalcy never returning. We must acknowledge this fear in order because this is a healthy response. When trauma is experienced, fear and anxiety are sure to follow. It is what we do with these emotions that counts. Dr. Bob writes in this article that when we face fear, we have two choices, acknowledge that fear and work with it to move us forward or allow that fear to consume us.

Dr. Wright suggests that we should fear our friend. It is part of the human experience to feel emotions of joy, sadness, and fear. As children, we are ushered by our trusted guardians to help us overcome those fears. Our fears, at times, try to keep us safe from harm, so no, not all fear is bad. At times to combat this fear, we tend to stay in our zones and work on our self-care to avoid or delay the reaction we have, and at times, this is an excellent way to handle our emotions. A different approach would be to allow ourselves to sit with those emotions and discuss why we feel this way. Can we use this opportunity to reach out to those within our circle for help? Perhaps we should allow ourselves time to feel uncomfortable to think of a better approach to solve what is causing us this anxiety if it is safe to do so. In times of covid-19 where now more than ever, we are scared and devastated and angry; we are facing the unimaginable right now on all fronts, but we must acknowledge those feelings to process them move forward. Running away from those anxieties will not make the problem resolve itself or go away; it will only cause future problems. When we channel those negative emotions into action, we will be amazed at what we can.

One last topic that I want to speak on in terms of fear being free of the past by reprogramming your body to bring forth a new mind. We are unable to move forward in our lives if we are working in the same old mindset of the past. That simply does not make logical sense. Dr. Joe Dispenza wrote the book "Becoming Supernatural" which discusses how everyday people are able to experience a mystical life. We have also had the privilege to have Dr. Wright speak in one of our virtual classes.
